Neighborhood-based Outreach

In 2003, Neighborhood Based Outreach flyers were created for 19 areas in Sacramento. Continuously updated, they are a resource that local residents can use to find the closest, most convenient locations to meet their emergency food needs. These flyers detail the Food Closets, Hot Meal Sites and Farmers' Markets in each neighborhood. They also provide locations for food related services for seniors and the closest Department of Human Assistance and Food Opportunity Program Site. Available in both English and Spanish, they are distributed in each are by volunteers. For more information about this program or to volunteer to distribute flyers in one of the areas, contact us.
